• User-Generated Content: Habit names, icons, colors, goals, and schedules you create

Automatically Collected Information

Health Data (Optional): If you grant permission, we access HealthKit data including:

• Step count
• Active energy burned (calories)
• Exercise minutes
• Walking/running distance

This data is used solely to automatically track your health-related habits.

Device Information

• Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
• App Usage: Statistics like streaks, completion rates, and achievement progress

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Track and display your habit completion and progress
• Calculate streaks and achievement milestones
• Send reminder notifications (if enabled)
• Sync data between the app and widget
• Provide data export functionality (CSV, JSON)
• Maintain subscription status

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All data is stored locally on your device
• We do not upload or sync your habit data to any server
• Your HealthKit data never leaves your device
• Data is protected by iOS device encryption and security features

App Groups

• We use iOS App Groups to share data between the main app and widget
• This data remains on your device only

Backups

• Your data may be included in device backups (iCloud, iTunes)
• You control backup settings through iOS Settings

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

• We use RevenueCat to process subscription payments
• RevenueCat may collect:

HealthKit Data

If you grant HealthKit permissions:

• We only read HealthKit data (we don't write to HealthKit)
• Data types accessed: Steps, active calories, exercise minutes, distance
• Usage: Only for automatic habit tracking
• Not shared: HealthKit data is never shared with third parties
• Not uploaded: HealthKit data stays on your device
• Revocable: You can revoke HealthKit access anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health

Important: We will never use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes, nor will we share it with third parties without your explicit consent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights or safety
• With your explicit consent

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Export your data via Settings > Data > Export (JSON/CSV)
• Delete: Delete individual habits or all data by uninstalling the app
• Control: Manage notification permissions in iOS Settings
• Revoke: Revoke HealthKit access in iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

Commit is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications:

• We send local reminder notifications based on your schedule
• Notifications are generated locally on your device
• No notification data is sent to external servers
• You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings

Data Retention

• Data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all local data
• Device backups may retain data according to your backup settings

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an in-app notification for material changes
